  • Abstract
Motion compensation is one role part in the digital image stabilization system and it decides the perceptual quality of the output video stream. There are two problems in the conventional MC methods, one is the methods needs much store memory, the others is the computation complexity is high. In view of the shortage of the methods, a novel motion compensation method based on mosaic with near compatible frames is proposed. The near compatible frames are stored in four directions and the lose areas are compensated with the frame in opposite direction. The experiment results show that the proposed method needs less store memory with low computation complexity and it can compensate the lose areas efficiently with well perceptual quality.
