Abstract
Birds inhabiting in an airport are recognized as a risk factor in aviation safety, but an effective and durable bird expellant is difficult to archive though several methods, and equipment has been developed due to the ability to adapt to the environment. KAERI (Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute) is developing a semi-autonomous unmanned ground vehicle in company with LIGNex1, Kyungwon Ferrite Industry, Korea Institute of Environmental Ecology. The designed UGV has mounted telescopic camera, thermal camera, and directional acoustic wave transmitter for detecting and expelling birds.
