Abstract
An efficient model order reduction (MOR) methodology for three dimensional vector finite element method (FEM) is developed to accelerate simulations of the structures containing features that cause strong variations of mesh density. As the result of presented algorithm, FEM subsystems of equations corresponding to the selected refined region are converted into a very compact sets of linear equations, called macro-elements. Numerical results of the waveguide structure simulation are provided to demonstrate the properties of the proposed methodology and prove its effectiveness and accuracy in the wide frequency range.
