Abstract
Monitoring sulfur content of purified natural gas is the purpose of testing the desulfurization efficiency in the desulfurization process. The National standard for sulfur content of purified natural gas was less than 10ppm. A H2 S gas sensor was developed based on Tunable Diode Laser Absorption Spectroscopy for in-situ monitoring the sulfur content of purified natural gas continuously in desulfurization production process. The sensor is mainly consisted of a tunable diode laser and controller, a multiple reflection cell and an embedded computer. The detection limit reached to 10ppb. The sensor was used in the Chuanke No.1 well of Xiaoquan, and the monitoring results show that natural gas purified here was accord with the national standards.
