Abstract
Based on the description of train diagram optimization of high-speed railway, a multi-step sequencing optimization method was designed. This method started with a relaxed train diagram with least train traveling time and most train operation conflictions, trying to sequence conflicting operation pairs by the means of least train traveling time increasing until all the conflicting operations were sequenced. During every sequencing step, operation time intervals were adjusted with the aid of directed graph of train diagram and the combination of strategies such as exchanging operation order, increasing dwell time and expanding departure time. The case analyses illustrated that train diagram could be effectively planned with this method.
