Abstract
Ad Hoc is the 4th mobile communication technology which has developmental prospect and plays an important role within the communications field in the future, but there still exist many problems. For example, the protocol performance characteristics in the complex environment have to be studied. We conclude that every protocol has its own features and their apparent performance is completely different in different network environments through simulator NS2 under the Ad Hoc network simulation and through examining the throughput, stability, equity and other performance indicators to compare the advantages and disadvantages of AODV and TORA routing protocols. Therefore, we can not absolutely have to say what kind of agreement is the best, we should take a different route method to provide practical applications valuable references according to different network conditions in the complex network environment because Ad Hoc networks is still in the stage of rapid development.
