Abstract
Reach envelope is one of the design tools to ensure industrial workspace accommodates users. A reach envelope transformation model based on the anthropometric measurement data was built in a previous study, in this paper, an experiment was designed to verify the model. 6 male subjects´ reach data were collected using motion capture system with a sample rate of 120Hz. True reach distance was estimated through a data averaging process. Comparison between the transformed reach distance and measured reach distance indicated that the average of difference, SD of difference was 51.3 and 43.7(mm) respectively.
