  • Abstract
    The expansion force is one of the key parameters in Expansion Casing Technology. The expansion force is very difficulty to calculate by conventional methods because the expansion process of expansion casing is complex nonlinear elastic-plastic deforming. In this paper, the mechanical model of expansion casing is established by using of the main stress method, and the expansion force is calculated. The results provide theoretical grounds for the process design of the expansion casing technology.
