  • Abstract
    A magnetically-insulated diode and diagnostics of a negative-ion beam are descdibed. Plane and cylindrical cathode forms were tested. Experimental spatial and angular characteristics of a ion beam are presented. Microsecond negative-ion beam current density was investigated by means of a Faraday cup.
