Referring to the common approach of GDP and based on the categorization of different statistic units, the objects of statistics can be measured in two schemes: one is to regard them all as non-market units; the other is to divide them into two parts: market production and non-market production. The measuring of added value of sport event also requires three steps: first, put the events into different categories according to the classification of their hosts, second is to choose an appropriate way of measuring accordingly, and then implement the measuring methods according to the specific requirements.
