Abstract
For transient security assessment of in power system, the practical dynamic security region (PDSR) of active generator power is a significant reference for power operators. Based on the trajectory sensitivity, the paper efficiently utilizes the potential energy boundary surface (PEBS) method to iteratively obtain the critical power and PDSR. The result of IEEE 17-generator 162-bus power system validates that the proposed energy trajectory sensitivity is efficient and effective for calculating the critical active power and PDSR.
