Abstract
This paper mainly introduces three typical transform domain methods for image coding. Design programs of image transform domain coding algorithms based on DFT, DCT and WHT. For different input images, the paper compares their performances of compression and decompression through different algorithms. By introducing principles and detailed derivations of different transformations, it shows how to realize them step by step in Visual C++, getting their images in frequency domain. In DFT, highest compression ratio reaches 21.4:1 and highest PSNR reaches 34.86. In DCT, highest compression ratio reaches 22.63:1 and highest PSNR reaches 35.02. In WHT, highest compression ratio reaches 20.8:1 and highest PSNR reaches 29.43.
