  • Abstract
A new method to evaluate the lifetime of fuse was proposed. In this method, the characteristic of fuse´s ageing, which elevated the temperature of fusible element and increased the accelerated factor, was taken into consideration. So the accelerated ageing test was divided into multiple stages and the accelerated factors and mean lifetimes under test condition were obtained respectively. After that, the mean lifetime under working condition could be calculated. At the end of the paper, an example was given to verify the effectiveness of this method.
