Abstract
Adaptive digital beamforming(ADBF) at subarray level is one of crucial techniques for phased array radar. Generalized sidelobe canceller(GSLC) at subarray level is an effective solution in the presence of array imperfections such as amplitude and phase errors, while the key lies in appropriate blocking matrix(BM) to block desired signal and adaptive weights for suppressing jammers. While at subarray level, using conventional BM will degrade the performance of beam such as that notch deviates for phase errors and signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio(SINR) loses. This paper presents an implementation for GSLC configuration at subarray level by utilizing Householder transformation to determine BM. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed method can raise SINR obviously and is insensitive to channel errors even if to phase ones.
