  • Abstract
    Shipborne high frequency ground wave OTH (over the horizon) radar is a kind of new system radar to sea detection. It can detect the ship targets and low altitude or very low altitude flying target. As the huge difference between physical environment around the ships and the environment near the coast, the changing platform of the OTH(over the horizon) radar will cause the two-side confusing problem, means we cannot tell the direction of the target echo. This paper tries to solve the problem by using omni-direction antenna as the element to design a new transmitting and receiving antenna arrays, which can lead the electromagnetic wave travels in one direction, so that the system can know the direction of the target. At the same time, we will add some perfect diffusers in the arrays to analyze the effect to our result. In this paper, we will give the theoretical derivation, modeling and simulation to tell the effect of our plan. This paper can give a new idea to the two-side confusing problem of shipborne OTH radar.
