Abstract
In this paper, the effects of antenna element mutual coupling on MIMO system in a three dimensional multipath channel, are derived. Mutual coupling between elements of ULA, UCA and URA, which influences both the spatial correlation and received signal to ratio(SNR), is taken into account by means of the impedance matrix. The general spatial correlation expressions of channel model with the impact of mutual coupling are derived. The numerical and simulation results indicate that the system capacity with the mutual coupling is more dependent on the MAOA and MEOA than the AS and ES in three dimensional multipath channel.
