Abstract
In a society, some social contacts are stable which can preserve for a long time, while others are unstable which persist only for a short time. In this paper, we study the epidemic spreading on a network, referred as partial dynamic network, in which most connections are stable while the others are dynamic. Our analysis and simulations reveal that a larger fraction of dynamic connections may lead a larger epidemic size. Moreover, we study the influence of the cluster coefficient to the epidemic spreading on the partial dynamic network and find that higher clustering may lead to a smaller epidemic size. A simple analysis is given to explain these findings.
