Abstract
The paper establishes dynamic model of the belt conveyor system with finite elemental method, and designs H∞ the robust controller with the disturbance attenuation, ensure the stability of the system. The lower-order controller is designed by utilizing the frequency-weighted right coprirne factor(FWRCF) controller reduction with special weights enforcing the stability of closed-loop system of reduced orders. Finally, comprehensive simulations are carried out. The simulation results demonstrate that the controller order can be considerably reduced, and that the closed-loop performance is only slightly degraded when the reduced-order controller replaces the full-order controller. The effectiveness of the FWRCF controller reduction is also proved.
