Abstract
Multipath transmission is the important way to increase the efficiency and reliability of network transmission. Along with the development of overlay network, multi-homed host et al, multipath transmission control becomes the hot spot of network transmission technology research gradually. As the base of path choice and switching in multipath transmission, real-time evaluation of path QoS is a key problem. The paper presents a new evaluation mechanism of path QoS in the realtime media multipath transmission. The mechanism synthesizes the advantages of "Statistic analysis mechanism has comprehensive evaluation parameters." and "Dynamic evaluation mechanism feeds back path QoS quickly." The backup path in transmission path collection is used to transmit QoS evaluation report for enhancing mechanism robustness and backup path keep-live. The simulation results show the new mechanism can judge path QoS accurately and quickly. It also supports path choice and switching efficiently, and then heightens the efficiency of multipath transmission.
