Abstract
The role of electron heat conductivity and resistivity for various filling pressure of deuterium in Mather type plasma focus is investigated. For this purpose the ideal MHD equations, their approximate solution and conditions of applicability are presented. The initial conditions of POSEIDON, PF 360, PLAMYA, NESSI, DPF 78, SPEED 1, PF 150, PF 30, PF of University of Illinois are considered. The relations for optimum initial deuterium pressure that depends on anode radius and current through the pinch are deduced from experimental results. These relations are explained in comparison with solution of ideal MHD equations.
