  • Abstract
    This paper proposes an integrated approach to the VNE problem, in which different virtual nodes of a virtual network could be assigned to a physical node as long as this node´s available resources can satisfy the total resource requirements of these virtual nodes. We carry out extensive simulations to investigate the benefits of sharing physical nodes. The simulation results demonstrate that (1) Compared with the existing integrated VNE algorithm, the proposed algorithm performs better in terms of the VNE computing time and the VN request acceptance ratio and the Revenue-to-Cost-Ratio. (2) Compared with the existing VNE algorithms which allowed sharing physical nodes in a VN, the proposed algorithm reduces the computing time without sacrificing other performances.
