  • Abstract
    We propose here the study of periodic structures in circular waveguide. The corrugated circular waveguide provides better performance in terms of bandwidth, as part of circular horn antenna excitation. The determination of the modal fields in the periodic corrugated waveguide is based on the coupled-integral-equation technique. This technique allows, also, the determination of dispersion diagrams of the Floquet modes. The investigation of these modes leads to a simplified and rigorous characterization of the junction between a smooth circular waveguide and a corrugated circular waveguide by the mode matching method.
