  • Abstract
This paper addresses the application of transimpedance amplifier (TIA) front-ends in biomedical imaging. Different topologies are studied and characterized, then the most appropriate structures are introduced. Three new TIA front-ends are proposed and implemented using standard submicron CMOS technology. The implemented TIA front-ends offer high gain-bandwidth product (GBW), lowpower consumption (<;1mW), high-transimpedance gain (up to 200MV/A), tunable bandwidth (0.1kHz-1GHz) and very low input and output noise (~few fA/vHz and few μV/vHz).
