Abstract
This paper examined teacher´s presence and immediacy incorporated into slide video and their contribution to students´ motivation. Videos on two subjects were produced using two designs: picture in picture and Chroma-key. Results showed that teacher´s presence in videos was a contributor for learners´ motivation. Interaction effect between video design and learning material on motivation was also investigated. Students´ motivation was found to be higher in Chroma key design for explaining complex content while for easy content picture in picture design was favorable. Strategies on slide videos designs are suggested.
