Abstract

In this paper, we present first results of a short-term measurement campaign aimed at terrain diffraction measurements. The campaign was held during August and September 2012 in the area of the Czech Republic and comprised using truck mounted access platforms to achieve a number of Tx and Rx station heights. Based on the experimental data obtained at frequencies ranging from L- to Q-band, a brief comparison between the measurements and selected propagation models is given as well.
