Abstract
A new strategy to the synthesis of time modulated sparse arrays based on the use of the particle swarm optimizer (PSO) is presented in this paper. The pulse configuration controlling the on-off behavior of the array elements and the element positions are defined to synthesize a desired pattern at the carrier frequency and jointly minimize the power losses in the sideband radiations (SRs).
