  • Abstract
    In order to shorten the off-gauge length between head and tail on welded seam during normal produce of five tandem cold mill in baosteel, it main analyze the main mode, the strategy of process parameters and the technical shortage about old FGC. According to the principle of metal mass flow equation, it made a new control principle and a new strategy of process parameters of FGC. After the application of new strategy to line, It is not only the transition more stable and the ratio of strip breakage lower, but also the length of off-gauge is shortened and the percent of pass of strip gauge is higher. It is useful for reference of FGC technical optimization to hot mill and similar mill as five tandem cold rolling mill.
