Abstract
This study was interested in the energy management of a DFIG wind farm connected to the electrical network. In order to ensure an absolute power constraint which is required by the transmission supervisory operator (TSO), a control algorithm was established. This algorithm is based on a central supervisory unit, ensuring the information exchange between the TSO and the wind farm, and a local supervisory unit controlling each wind turbine according to the central unit orders. Simulation results were presented to prove the effectiveness of the control structure and validate the applied supervisory algorithm.
