Abstract
In this paper the design and implementation of networked distributed control systems for turbine engine operation was explored. The emphasis is on the development and performance verification of distributed feedback gains operating under network constraints. The topic of controller distribution is introduced, and a method for computing optimal distributed controller gains is presented. To ensure the stability and operation of turbine engines under the closed loop system and network implementation, the control system is realized using TrueTime network simulation software. The proposed process for developing distributed control gains and its implementation under a distributed networked control architecture is proven to be sufficient even under severe network constraints.
