Abstract
Following fast developments in technology and ever-growing user demands, current trends in radiocommunications community recommend introducing flexible and easy-to-access spectrum usage. In that sense, it is important to have a simple, quick and flexible licensing regime. On the other hand, nowadays e-business becomes a must have in a rapidly changing environment for all companies which focus their business on the end users. This paper gives an insight into the portfolio of e-licensing applications that have been introduced in Croatia and the comparison to the conventional licensing procedures in terms of simplicity and time effectiveness. The paper gives an overview of recently implemented e-Licenses service, which enables electronic, easy and less time consuming procedure for obtaining a license for the radio spectrum usage. It also gives firsthand experience regarding the percentage of usage among the users, as well as anticipation of its influence and/or benefits on the electronic communications society in general within the next few years.
