Abstract
Machine-to-Machine Service Enablement (M2M SE) is a collection of different software functions created to be generic and follow a number of principles such as separation of concerns, loose coupling and composition. The software functions are used to implement domain specific applications for different verticals. Different organizations may take care of M2M Connectivity and M2M Service Enablement, as coupling between them is not mandatory. Device owners (the entities owning devices and therefore the ones that may grant access to data being measured or inferred by devices) use the M2M Service Enablement platforms to access their devices and therefore being able to create applications fulfilling their business requirements. This paper explains the model and of Data Store for M2M data by following a similar approach of digital distribution platforms for mobile devices (usually named application stores).
