Abstract

The Impact Factor proposed by SCI is exploited as a standard to rate a level of journals. However, the service for the impact factors is mainly designed for English-based journals. To rate a level of Korean domestic journals, a metric for Korean science citation index is necessary. In our research, to build reference index system, a database which includes 70 thousands of references based upon journals published by KIISE for 2002-2007 has been built and a instantaneous impact factors are obtained using error correction method. To calculate impact factors and immediacy indices of Korean journals more accurately and to find several statistics: most cited references, journal, and web sites. Also, we categorized and analyzed major types of typos contained reference listings.
