  • Abstract
In this paper, we study the performance of a Wireless Optical transmission system based on Optical Code Division Multiple Access (OCDMA) to allow multiple user communication. We investigate the impact of user mobility on the LOS and diffuse transmission scheme robustness to Multiple Access Interference (MAI) and near-far effect. For this purpose, we establish an analytical expression of the error probability as a function of the average optical path loss and we use it to obtain the performance in terms of outage probability. Our theoretical approach permits predicting with a good accuracy the impact of multiple access interference combined with near-far effect and mobility. We show that for a given mobility scenario and a given spreading code, diffuse transmissions are less sensitive to near-far impact than LOS ones.
