  • Abstract
Wave Piercing Catamarans play an important role in ocean transportation with explicitly military objectives. Wave-induced vertical motion is particular sharp while in the process of high speed. The T-foil is an effective device to counteract the effect of wave in the heaving and pitching direction. In order to optimize the actuator, a linear quadratic regulator controller with a genetic algorithm to find the optical weights´ matrix is designed. In this paper, the dynamics of the catamaran and T-foil is considered. Research shows that this method is expediently to carry out, and the heaving and pitching motions are smoothed evidently.
