Abstract
In this paper, we present a simple and effective approach to estimate the height of urban buildings under the catadioptric omni-cameras. We first study and establish the angle consistency between the borderlines of roofs under two different image modalities: aerial and catadioptric omni-images. Thereafter, we develop an approach for urban-building height estimation under such a setting. To the best of our knowledge, this study has not been carried out before. Our preliminary experimental results confirm the efficacy and feasibility of our approach.
