Abstract
MIMO technology got lots of attentions in wireless communications because it can increase the system capacity significantly, especially in fading environment. Some broadcasting systems, like DVB-T2, already adopted MIMO technology, while some other systems are considering add MIMO in their enhanced version. Research results show that field performance of MIMO devices is more complicated and depends on a number of factors, including self-desensitization, baseband processing, propagation conditions, and antenna property. Of these, the propagation conditions and the antenna property are paramount. The purpose of this paper mainly focuses on how to leverage the MIMO antenna radiation performance measurement method from wireless communication systems to broadcast systems.
