Abstract
A technique combining mode-matching (MM) and method of moment (MoM) is presented for analysis of a stepped junction horn radiating into half space. 2-D MoM technique using Rao-Wilton-Glisson (RWG) function has been applied for horn radiating into half space and MM has been applied for stepped junction. Studies have also been performed on choice of RWG function for this modeling. The codes have been implemented in Matlab to study the performance of this full wave hybrid technique for the case of a rectangular horn antenna. Computed results have been compared with simulation results obtained using HFSS-14 and close match is observed.
