Abstract
The European Union executed the implementation tools for the European Electronic Toll Service, formally expected to start in October 2012. This service aims at allowing users of the European toll infrastructure to pay their dues availing of a single on-board unit, certified in all EU Countries, according to a single contract stipulated with a service provider.
