Abstract
This paper outlines the procedure and guidelines used to create Human Machine Interface (HMI) faceplates for industrial control systems that represent protective relays. The faceplates are developed around an IEC 61850 enabled network and represent a structured, industry accepted, HMI format. Background and benefits of the IEC 61850 standard are also discussed.
