  • Abstract
In this work, a simplified methodology for the design of continuous Class-F power amplifiers (PAs) is presented for the first time. The procedure described is employed to design and fabricate an amplifier with output power greater than 45W. The-oretical bandwidth limitations of the continuous Class-F mode are discussed, resulting in some interesting conclusions. Measurement results are presented, with the implemented amplifier operating at an average drain efficiency of greater than 71% across a 39% fractional bandwidth, from 1.35 GHz to 2 GHz, with a peak efficiency of 76.3 %.
