Abstract
This paper derives the criteria for maximum spurious free dynamic range of a receiver system in terms of the gain, noise, and 3rd-order two-tone intermodulation distortion of the individual stages of the system. A graphical interpretation of the criteria is presented which aids the design of cascaded systems with maximum dynamic range.
