Abstract
We present a technique for enhanced modeling of microwave structures exploiting low-fidelity EM simulations, shape-preserving response prediction (SPRP), and space mapping (SM). The initial surrogate model is constructed from coarse-discretization EM simulation data by means of SPRP, and then enhanced by aligning it to sparsely-sampled high-fidelity EM model using SM. Our method is demonstrated using a microstrip filter. A comparison with conventional modeling using kriging interpolation as well as with SPRP working directly with high-fidelity EM data is provided.
