  • Abstract
    The cable joint faults account for a large percentage in the cable accidents, the temperature of the cable joint is an important parameter that reflects the cable´s running state. This paper proposes a conductor temperature retrieval algorithm of cable joint. With the cable skin and metal sheath temperature, this method uses the steady-state temperature rise coefficient obtained by the least square method to reverse the temperature of the conductor. It can be applied to the cable joint temperature on-line monitoring and fault diagnosis.
