Abstract
In this article, we propose a theoretical model to explore the relations between employees´ perceived supervisory support (PSS) and perceived organizational support (POS), and between POS and employees´ organizational citizenship behaviors (OCBs). We hypothesized that supervisor´s organizational embodiment (SOE) and employee´s organizational embeddedness (OE) function as moderators in these relations. Here, SOE describes employees´ perception concerning the extent of their supervisors´ shared identity with the organization. OE refers to the totality of forces that keep people in their current employment. In view of the model, we mainly draw on organizational support theory, organization anthropomorphic idea, and social exchange theory to support our hypotheses. In the end, we lead a discussion on the implications and limitations of this article, meantime, we identify areas for future research.
