Abstract
This paper presents a Genetic Algorithm optimizing solution (GA) for thermal power units. Based on determined load demand data (equal to output of the whole power plant) and coal consumption model, we utilize GA method to compute its minimum consumption. The simulation proves the algorithm used to solve operational problems is effective and fast convergence to the best region. At last, we try to provide other parallel tools which also can be used to solve this problem for a comparison.
