  • Abstract
    In this paper, a reliable and accurate extraction of per-unit-length parameters of multiconductor cables from measured admittance or scattering parameters is presented. Once the per-unit-length parameters are available, the admittance for any other length of the cable of the same type can be calculated, which allows creating broadband models for arbitrary cable length. The proposed approach exploits the symmetry of the cable and has been validated against measured admittances of industrial multi-conductor power cables of different lengths.
