Abstract
In recent years, the interest in bistatic SAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar) has rapidly increased. In this paper, experiment results of Ku-band air-borne bistatic SAR with a stationary receiver are shown. Reconstructed bistatic SAR image is well focused enough to extract shape information about the observed area. Range and cross range resolution of the bistatic SAR image are evaluated as 0.61[m] and 0.16[m], respectively. From the comparison with the monostatic SAR image which is observed simultaneously it was confirmed that bistatic SAR was useful for (a)reduction the strong scatterers which sometimes disturb the observation of weak scatters, (b)extraction of different shape information from the conventional monostatic SAR.
