Abstract
An efficient optimization scheme for the optimization of printed reflectarrays is presented. Cubic splines are used in the optimization to obtain the geometry of the array elements. With the proposed optimization scheme, the overall optimization time can be reduced by a factor of 3 as compared to the case where the array elements are directly optimized.
