  • Abstract
This LNG carrier ship is a high value product and the shipbuilding companies in Korea have a 50-percent of the world. Because of demand of increasing LNG, the orders have been increased. However, LNG Main Cargo Pump which is the key product in LNG carrier ship has been depended on import. Hence, the development of main cargo pump motor using at very low temperature is needed. The induction motor using LNG Main Cargo Pump operates at -163°C. This study presents the induction motor design technique considering the resistivity variation at very low temperature. To derive the analysis of motor characteristics, it uses FEM analysis for having each motor torque characteristic curve.
