Abstract
In this paper, the estimation of the numerical error of a novel absorbing boundary condition (ABC) proposed for the split-step finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method and the incident angle of the plane wave is investigated. Compared with two other previously reported Mur first-order ABCs, the proposed ABC is simpler and requires less additional computation. Besides, it also has much better absorption performance.
